From Snoring to Peaceful Sleep

This patient came to Breathing Wellbeing with concerns about nightly snoring and chronic open-mouth breathing during sleep. These habits can be signs of poor oral function and may impact sleep quality, facial development, and overall health.

Over the course of six myofunctional therapy sessions, we focused on establishing healthy nasal breathing, improving lip seal, and reinforcing proper tongue posture. As oral function improved, so did the patient's sleep.

By the end of therapy, the patient had eliminated their snoring and was sleeping quietly through the night. They also developed healthier breathing habits that support better sleep, improved oral health, and long-term airway function.

While every patient responds differently, this case highlights how myofunctional therapy can be an effective, non-invasive approach for addressing the underlying muscle patterns that contribute to snoring and mouth breathing.
